Earlham College Men’s Basketball wraps up its season
on a high note winning their final two games against Mt. St.
Joseph, 72-61.
The Quakers were led by junior Kenneth Stalling Jr.
with 20 points, shooting 9-of-11 from the field. Sophomore
Jamel Barnes also scored 20 points, shooting 8-of-11 from
the field. Mt. St. Joseph was led by Devin Young, scoring
20 points
Earlham shot 57.7% from the field compared to Mt.
St. Joseph 42.3%. This game was the Quakers’ best shooting
performance of the season. Earlham outrebounded the Li-
ons 31-26, and also scored 18 points off of the Lions’ turn-
overs. The Quakers scored 40 points in the paint compared
to the Lions’ 26, but the Lions outscored the Quaker bench
40-8.
Earlham finished the season with an 8-17 overall record,
an improvement of two wins over last year’s mark, and the
Quakers’ best record in terms of winning percentage since
2005-06 season. The Quakers finished 7-11 in the HCAC, in
the seventh-place, Earlham’s best finish in conference play
since placing sixth in the North Coast Athletic Conference
in 2006-07.
